Catching up

Well its been a long crazy week! Lots of work, lots of fun and lots of food.

So here I am, most likely 5 to 10 pounds bigger (I kid, I hope!), 2 amazing steaks, a year older, holiday party, buying Frye boots, trying to Christmas shop, birthday dinner and lunches, a huge cheese pizza and 1.5 seasons of Criminal Minds later......I sit here. About to brave the U Village for shopping and have lunch giving a small update to my blog.

My Dad also found a bunch of Grandpa's slides. They are full of cute pictures of my Dad as a kid. Enjoy!

Sick....

Lack of posts have been due to my cold that is trying to ruin my birthday weekend.

I'm not going to let that happen! Still feeling a little out of it, but at least I can go 3 minutes with out sneezing.

Going to lay low for the rest of the day. Watch my new favorite show criminal minds.

getting sick. I know it....

1. runny nose

2. headache

3. that feeling of just being "off"

4. and by "off" also means that I win by knocking over everything I touch and drop everything I'm holding. I may be clumsy everyday but my body loves kicking me while I'm down by making it worse.

Today I wanted to workout, clean, go to taco tuesdays. yet, here it is, well after 3 and Im still in sweats, ate some crappy spicy food that didn't help my nose and just made me retain water and I've dirtied more dishes.

I feel like a work out would help get some of this out of me...but I'm not about to be that snotty coughing person who you are working out next to and ask "why would they come to the gym and get everyone else sick!?" Well, I know the answer, they don't want to be sick....but that still doesn't mean you should go.

So watching criminal minds and drinks 5 pots of tea will be my afternoon. Oh and you also get a picture of me, sick, no make up and sleepy.

Dear Day,

Please do me well today.

I already had a late night, last night and no time for gym this morning. Seems to be last night will be repeated again. It's not like I'm not having fun! Spending time with friends, playing Wii, wishing loved friends happy birthday, Christmas parties....are all very grand. I love this time of year and the weather that comes with it. I guess I just want more time just cozy on the couch or catching up at home.

Oh well. Monday is a day off. I will play catch up and be ready for an other fun week with people who make me smile!

Cold Sunny Day.

The high for today may only be 39 degrees but at least it's sunny!! Because Ariel gave me my birthday present a week early and I love them!!!!!

I have been drooling over these sunglasses whenever they are in his store and now they are mine!! Im so happy! They are metal and the close up is too beautiful! Plus, they have nose pads, and thats great for me since I guess I don't have a good glasses nose..... thats what hubby says, but I know its true since anything without pads just slides down my face.

radiohead

I had my ipod on shuffle this morning driving home from taking Ariel to work.
One of my favorite songs from Pablo Honey came on and I remember how much I love this album.

Of course most all Radiohead albums are amazing, but I love how raw this one is and how it is so different from any other album they have done.

For the most part though, put any Radiohead in the CD player and I will be one happy girl!

With going through my iphoto and flickr trying to clean some things up, I decided to pick my top 5 pictures from flickr.
Since I haven't posted anything new on flickr in over a year I believe and most are from our trip to LA.
I thought it would be fun to see what ones made me smile the most.
They are all made of people and things I love (not including our animals..since they would get all spots).....well enjoy!1) My Dad and Ariel laughing. Even if they were laughing from throwing ice at Ida.

2)This is Sam. She is my beautiful niece. This is the 1st time I ever met her since she was in her mommies belly when I last saw my Sister in Law.
3) Our trip to LA. I got to see where Ariel grew up and it was a weekend filled with no sleep, disneyland, seaworld, and tons of fresh fruit that I have dreams about!
4) the seaworld part of the trip. I love me some seaworld and really love me some dolphins.
5) Ariels best friends, Timothy and Jason with Jason's son Lee. Lee is the most entertaining child ever! He can sing dance and make you smile for hours!

I never realized until looking through my flickr that I had the pictures near each other.


The lst one was taken at my agency with the black version and the 2nd at a photo shoot with clothes the photographer bought.

I forgot I even had this shirt.

It's been packed away in a box.

A lot of my clothes I wear to castings and modeling are very different then the clothes I wear everyday.

the past.

We cleaned the hallway closet after all. Well, Ariel did. What a great husband.
While I made a not so good dinner. He cleaned and went through 2.5 years of boxes and junk.


In the process he found most of my Vogues I have been collecting since 2003 when I started modeling and some amazing journals that have been forgotten.


Reliving the past will few these next few days.......

Im sure it will be full of smiles and tears. Since most of my amazing past includes agreeing to spend my future with my amazing husband. <3

Day off.

After staying up tell 4am watching movies it was a little hard to get up this morning..

.........but we got up and did some cleaning, maybe didn't make the dent we wanted to with cleaning out the hallway closet, or getting Christmas decorations out, and taking old clothes to good will. We still cleaned the house, did some laundry and took a break for a huge ham and egg scramble. Yum.




Oh and Mannequin was on TV. Very good movie to clean too......highly recommended.

Bathroom.

Mine is pretty boring. It just white and cream with some more white and cream.

We don't have the money to really remodel....or our condo would look amazing! Yet, I think it's time to make due with the one we got and find some cheap ways to update it. Some paint and new decor would make a world of difference.

For paint I'm leaning toward the idea of a rich purple or a blue/gray color.

Then adding some great accessories......

They are all from Urban. Super cute and very well priced. Of course Anthro has an amazing towel and rug set, but I have a hard time spending a lot of money on bathroom items since they don't seem to last long. With make-up, hairspray, toothpaste and having to be washed so much just are not worth it. I rather buy a bunch of cheap cute towels and curtains and change them up!
I love this mirror. It would look great over a bold color.
I love how simple this curtain is. It would look great with the rug and towel set I'm lusting over from Anthro......(Links to come later.)
But as much as I'm leaning towards the dark colors with clean white accessories, I see this...and think...maybe a bright sunny 50's style bathroom? ugh.

this was dinner tonight.... and well it was amazing.

I wish I could eat them all the time with out getting fat or being sick from eating the wheat. ugh.

Why, gluten Why!!!!

Snuggies!!!

Yep. I own a Snuggie.

It was never my plan but there it is. In The corner. Away from anything that could cause a fire, since I think the fabric is worst then spraying hairspray over a candle.

It all started the night I went to see New Moon...which was AMAZING. Not going to lie. That will be an other post for an other time.

Anyway, I went with Ida out in Gig Harbor and some family friends. Ariel was off at work around 7 and didn't want to be home alone. He went to hang out with some of our friends and I would meet up with him there later.

Once I got there Tim and Ariel were heading out the door for a beer run and who knew they would come back with Snuggies. Well, who even knew that gas stations even carry Snuggies.

Sure even they do. It also came with a little reading light. So besides playing wii and eating pizza as I was holding back talking about Edward Cullen all night.....we had a Snuggie photo sess.

Enjoy....You can even snuggle in a snuggie! Who would have thought!

Thankgiving and a night away....

Well things are back to normal after my amazing 6 days off. Have to say it went way way too fast but what can you do?!

Most of the time was spent relaxing out at my Dads. The days were filled with some great work outs, making dinners, laying around with some cute pups and playing cards every night!
We did spent an amazing night at the Clearwater Casino! The beds there feel like they were made of clouds, angel wings and love. I did not want to get up in the morning! On the plus side they also have the most amazing coffee makers and beautiful view.
Ariel and his little coaster he is so proud of. Apparently they were giving them away, lets hope so. I would like to go back there.
This would be me crying about having to leave the bed.
Yet, there was a home to drive to and a Thanksgiving dinner to be made then stuffed in my tummy!

Long week.

Its been a long long week, well month. Yet, I'm almost to my break! Two more days and a short little vaca!! Can't wait!

My little Thanksgiving Break will include:

*A Birthday dinner with my Mom at Black Bottle.
*Sleeping in
*Heading to Clearwater Casino Hotel for the night.
*New Moon coming out!!!!!
*Having a fun week at my Dads getting away from the city!

Reunited and it feels soooo goood!!!

Went back to my roots on Monday!! Feels amazing. Red was fun but just not me!!! Feels good to be back to pasty pale with my dark dark hair!

Winter is well on its way!!

I'm so happy for heavy knits, blankets, candles, movies and hot drinks!! These are two amazing sweaters from Free People I am longing for this winter!

dinner

tonight I made our new favorite dinner! Lemon shrimp with couscous. I got the recipe from real simple. We added kale and extra garlic and it was mmmmmm good!! I also used lemon and spinach couscous just to add more flavor.

You can pretty much do this type of meal with anything. I couldn't find the recipe online but it was pretty great!

new car

yesterday we spent 4 to 5 hours in fife buying a new car but I am soooo happy!
this is my 1st brand new car and today we took it for a little day trip today. I will post some pictures soon!

Family!!!!!

My amazing Sister-in-law, her husband and beautiful little girls came up to Seattle the last week of Dec. and I wish they didn't have to leave!

It was so much fun playing with the girls and the Seattle Center and hanging out the ferry! Wish we could see them more often those girls are growing up too fast!
